Longhurst Hallway
Hither Green SE13
A fresh, practical update for a characterful Victorian entrance
This narrow hallway had lovely original features, including the stained-glass front door and turned staircase, but needed a more cohesive look that would make the most of its proportions and set the tone for the rest of the home.

A timeless green was chosen for the front door, drawing out the colours in the original stained glass, while the new patterned tiled floor brings depth and personality to the space. A soft stair runner adds warmth underfoot and gives the staircase a more considered finish.
Simple details complete the transformation: a large black-framed mirror reflects light along the hallway, while a slim wooden shelf above the radiator provides a useful surface without taking up valuable space. The result is an entrance that feels bright, welcoming and full of character from the moment you walk through the door.
