I have two characterful late-20th century prints celebrating Britain’s transport history, professionally mounted and presented in a classic gold-toned wooden frame.

Created in 1987 by British artist Peter J. Davies, known for his detailed transport and heritage scenes, this piece forms part of the Great British Lorries series. Davies’ work captures mid-century commercial vehicles with remarkable precision and atmosphere, often set within recognisable British landscapes.

Each print depicts a different scene - from a Merseyside tunnel exit to a bustling street beneath a railway bridge rendered in rich, muted tones that feel nostalgic without being overly traditional. The palette pairs beautifully with warm woods, deep paint colours and classic children’s interiors.

Beautifully mounted with fine line detailing and housed in a traditional gold-effect wooden frame, it has a timeless, heritage feel while still sitting comfortably in a relaxed family home.

The prints are sold separately - this listing is for the Mersey tunnel scene.

Minor age-related wear to the frames, including small scuffs and marks consistent with age. The mounts and prints remain clean and well-presented.
